Melbourne sits in the middle of the hot and humid areas and the icy cool air of the Southern Ocean. This makes it an ideal place to visit during summer and winter. There are so many places you can visit and things to enjoy on hot summer days. During the cool winter, it is a wonderful time to stay over for a holiday or participate in indoor activities with family and friends. Here are some of the reasons why you can’t let 2019 pass you by without visiting Melbourne.

Harry Potter that is! Yes, no need to pine about missing the world-famous play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, on Broadway and the West End. This is considered as a big event not only for the locals but for all the avid fans of the Harry Potter franchise all over the world.
Winter White Night Festival
This is actually a bit controversial since the overnight festival is usually set during the balmy weather. The government, however, promises a new winter arts festival that will run across three days. It aims to entice more audiences and since Melbourne is considered as the cultural capital, it will offer performances that feature Victoria’s rich culture.
The Terracotta Warriors are Coming Back!
One indoor event to look forward to during winter is the NGV exhibition of China’s Terracotta Warriors. This third century BC exhibition will feature the eight statues and will be called Terracotta Warriors: Guardians of Immortality. Along with it is another exhibition from contemporary artist Cai Guo-Qiang, where an art installation featuring 10,000 suspended porcelain birds will be placed at the centre.
