Indian and Chinese are among the most sought after cuisines in our country. Be it a bowl of hot noodles with grated chicken, or a plate of butter naan with curry, these are some of the go-to dishes that immediately strikes our mind whenever we feel hungry. And if we are in the city of Bangalore, these cuisines always stay in great demand. However, Continental cuisine has also entered the league of eminence nowadays. Since the cuisine presents dishes that are sinful yet light on the stomach, it has become a popular choice among many budding youngsters and teenagers of the garden city. And therefore, many Continental food joints have sprung up to serve these people with the best of Continental delicacies. In recent years, I have developed a passion for seeking out restaurants serving delicious food. So after I was done with searching for Chennai to Bangalore flights, I started looking out for the best continental places the city has to offer. And on my trip I made sure to visit those for real, sharing with you the experience I had.
The Only Place
This place is located in the heart of Church Street and has got a certain charm associated with it. The Only Place serves an amazing range of Chicken and Pork Steak, all accompanied with customised seasoning, boiled vegetables and sausages. I had ordered a plate of Philly Cheese Steak along with an Apple Pie and gorging on these two has been one of my best memories of the city. Offering a wide range of burgers and healthy salads too, this place is mostly crowded during the daytime. Also, it has some amazing vegan options available for you to delve into.
The Pump House
A scrumptious meal at The Pump House is incomplete without one of their in-house special brews. Located in JP Nagar, this place is ideal for food enthusiasts to delve into amazing Continental dishes along with exotic drinks. The ambience here is a relaxed one and the meals are presented skillfully. Besides, the restaurant ensures to provide high-quality meals at affordable rates. Since I had heard a lot about this place and its specialities, I couldn’t resist ordering a Tenderloin Beef Steak with a plateful of Grilled Sausages. The taste was perfect and would make you crave more.
Smoke House Deli
Smoke House Deli is one of the plush restaurants in Bangalore decked in white. The ambience is a posh one with uniformed waiters available at your service. This place has an exotic range of dishes both for the ones who are health conscious and for the ones who come here on their cheat days. The decor of this place is made with pale-coloured furniture which compliments the white backdrop. Besides the brilliant decor, Smoke House also has its name for its exclusive collection of in-house wine and sangria. A glass of red Merlot along with a bowl of Tenderloin Steak is what I had ordered here on my visit and both the dishes were presented beautifully. You can also order thin-crust wood-fired pizzas from vegetarian options and have a fun time with your friends.
Cilantro
Located in the popular neighbourhood of Koramangala, Cilantro serves some of the best dishes of Continental cuisine. With a decor resembling an old-world charm of Venice, this place is ideal for a laid back date with yourself or your significant other, alongside the pool. The Cilantro is not much crowded in the evenings and the service is also quite efficient. Coming to the food, I had ordered two of their signature dishes, one being the Penne Carbonara and the other Club de Boy. Since I had already had my fill of Steak for the day, I wanted to try out the other delicacies of this cuisine. Although the prices are on the higher edge, the taste of food is going to leave you asking for more.
The Hole in the Wall
Hole In The Wall is another gem located in Koramangala, Bangalore. With a diverse menu of exotic Asian and Continental delicacies, this place is perfect for pending hangouts and even for solo dates. Lo-fi music builds up the ambience and the food makes up for the evening. Since Hole In The Wall holds immense popularity, it is always a good option to pre-book tables before heading out for the venue. Since I visited this place in the morning, I ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast along with a bowl of Baked Beans and a glass of fresh Apple Juice. Every item was so mouthwatering that I ordered another bowl of baked beans for home. All in all, the experience here was worth it.
Thus, these are some of the best food joints that you should check out to consume the best of Continental dishes, Bangalore has for you.
