The other names it is known by are Hunyad Castle and Castelul Corvinilor. At the western center of the country, there is a small city called Hunedoara. It is where this awe-inspiring castle is situated. There must be many castles that you must have visited, then why and what is it that makes this castle one of a kind? Well, it seems as though you are watching a dream or fairytale come true. The Castelul Corvinilor seems to be a castle just out of a fantasy tale. This castle seems like it is situated on top of a rocky bluff and the only thing that connects to it is a very thin bridge.

Structure of the castle:
This castle is broadly split into three huge sections. You have the Diet Hall, The Knight’s Hall followed by the circular stairways. There are rectangular and circular towers that were used for both prisoners as well as defense purposes.
The architecture reflects a magnificent gothic style that lays a spotlight over the already impressive structure. During the lifetime of Hunyadi, the condition of the castle was untouched and kept in the regal state. But soon after his death, its condition started to decline quickly.
